Regular Posts: 62 | Not a lot of tech info out there on the inner workings of this old beauty... Not like my E body. 1. Vacuum... there is a vacuum line running through the firewall, and runs under the dash. It was not connected to anything under the dash. I am not quite sure what it is or goes to, anybody know? If anybody has a diagram of the vacuum system, I would appreciate seeing it. I haven't been able to find one in the manual and there are a few things like the vacuum lines running to the washer fluid reservoir that confounds me. 2. Fuse box. There is a fuse box under the dash below the environmental controls. Some of the fuse slots don't have fuses and it doesn't look like there were fuses in them for many many years... blocks labeled "radio" and whatnot. however, the radio still turns on and clicks the speaker, but it doesn't play. The antenna is also missing though. 3. Map light switch. I have an actual switch in there, but it doesn't seem to turn anything on or draw a current. Is this just an unconnected switch or is there a map light somewhere that is burned out? 4. I need new door and window seals, fuzzies, etc. Does anybody know where I can get these? Thanks!

There are a couple of vacuum lines running through the firewall. One of them would be for the heater control, as the push buttons are vacuum operated, and there could also be a second one connected to the windshield wiper control to operate the windshield washers. As to fuses, I thought the radio had an in-line fuse but I could be wrong. The Map Light is standard equipment, and is mounted flush right under the dash pad dead-center above the radio. It probably has a burnt out bulb. Gary Goers has most of the rubber parts available for these cars. I've bought stuff from him going on 30 years now. You can download his catalog here. http://chryslerclub.org/PDF%20files/GOERS.pdf

It's plausibe that your Windsor was sold/delivered without radio and that someone mounted the radio at a later time. That could mean that there are an "in-line fuse" for the radio feed. The map-light is operated by the front door switches and/or the AstraDome switch "MAP LIGHT". It's a 1004 bulb (aka BA15d R10W)

Regular Posts: 62 | Ok, it is thing ring shown in the linked photo. This isn't my car, but the pic should work for illustration. It moves to the right, and almost seems like it could be a lock for an adjustable steering wheel if the column was so equipped. https://imgur.com/a/4tIqq Edited by FourFans 2017-03-14 10:39 AM

Elite Veteran Posts: 1102 Location: Hayward, Calif | I got all my window seals for 59 Dodge from Restoration Specialties, 814-467-9842. Call them and ask for their catalog as they have a wide variety of seals. If your not sure about which one to order they will send a 4" sample. The short ones that are mounted horizontaly for the bottom of the window can get a bit tricky. I found the staples for mounting these seals impossible to work with. I found the other style mounting clip easier to work with as it allows you to snap it in place. Jerry
