Does this logo mean this car has the tinted glass? I didn't think it did but I noticed this tonight while getting measurements to redo the front seat.

The tint fades over the years parked in the sun. When it says Solex in the bug, you are guaranteed it started out as tinted glass. Still is, but it fades! Yours looks very good to me from one picture. Now, lets talk about timing. Solex became optional in cars about 1952. I'm not saying "tinted glass" was not available earlier -- thinking Packard offered it prior to WWII but "Solex" branded glass dates to the early '50s.

Thanks guys. I guess I never paid much attention to the glass, but some how on other cars i noticed it being tinted. I meant to post this under glass and body and then couldnt find it. I think I will am going to have my vin decoded, even though I know most of the cars history since it has never been out of the family.
