What you bought was a one year-only Dodge D-500 badge. Only correct if you have a 56 Dodge with the D-500 315 cu in 4 bbl hemi engine. If you need to resell it, I could be interested.

Location: Washington, PA | I knew what it belongs on. Just wasn't 100 percent that it was authentic. It doesnt seem to have any stampings on it, but I don't think the 57 D500 one I have does either. I just couldnt pass it up for that price. They seem rarer than the 57 emblem which are listed from 5-800. |

Not on my 57 D-500 anywhere. |

Location: So. Cal | According to Neil, that is the original D500 emblem, also used on the '54 Dodge pace car. There were some early reproductions made, but they look a little different with a border around the flags and the 500 uses a thinner font. This picture is of a reproduction. But I would expect the real deal to have a part number. Weird that it doesn't.

Location: Lower Mainland BC | I believe that the 56 D500 cross-flags emblem is PN 1599 218. Mine aren't marked (stamped or inked).
I got the number from the Mopar Parts pdf pg 764/1268 or 23-78 in the hard copy.

Location: Lubbock, TX | The D500 emblems had the part numbers on the MoPar boxes that they were shipped in. So no numbers on the actual items. Oh, and yes, the 57-58 D500 emblems are being listed at crazy prices recently...
