i knew it wasn't the posi... my trans is jacked... ill try the spare I have that was supposed to be good. The one i pulled from the donor was parked for a "reason" I think i know why now The tranny fluid looks kind of cloudy, its brand new and shouldn't look like that... swapping a trans in is pretty easy though.

Hello Mike, I continue to have drum brake issues on my New Yorker and I’m going to switch to front disc and use a remote reservoir master due to hemi clearance. From the comments, it looks like you used the
RAYBESTOS MC39178 master and removed the reservoir. Can you please tell me the fittings you used in place of the reservoir to adapt the hoses for a remote reservoir?
Thanks,

I got two aluminum dowels and drilled and tapped them out(youll need to clearance them a little on the bottom also)

I used a funky remote reservoir off a Mitsubishi or something.

I think your going to need a lathe and make brass like the one guy did before, i like his setup better.

I guess mine is simper? I cut some grooves around the aluminum to put seals
around the aluminum dowels since i didnt have the bottom lip

Ok thanks for posting the photo, looks good. I’m working on some options now to replace mine.

After a bit of searching I found some hose adapters, the brass ones shown in the photo, $40 for a pair of the cups and elbows. We’ll see how well they fit the master.
Make a bunch and sell them, they’re not easy to find.
I probably should continue the updates to my car on the thread for it. I’ll post there as I redo the brakes.
Thanks,
