FINS,
If all else fails, they shouldn't be too difficult to make. The rear bracket is 1" wide x 1/16" thick and the front is 7/8" wide x 1/16 thick. I have my carb off at the moment and could take some pictures and make a drawing, if that would help.
You don't have a 2806s carb laying around for a 392???

Thanks, if you could get some photos of the brackets that would be great. No extras of those carbs, sorry.

Thanks! The silver and black are both Bill Hirsh high temp engine paint. Seems to be quality paint and the closest match to stock colors that I could find. The exhaust manifolds are VHT ultra high temp that's no longer available.

Thanks. Did the Bill Hirsh paint take as long to dry as he says it does (a week to cure). And did you use a brush or a spray? It really looks nice.

I sprayed it. It will dry enough to handle in a couple of hours. I don't doubt that full cure would take a week or more. Lots of paint takes several days for full cure. Today I used black VHT engine enamel on two exhaust supports for an old Harley, and it says 7 days to full cure.
With most of the engine enamels I use, I will wait a day and then heat the painted part to 200 degrees for 1 hour. If I really want the best durability I will wait until the part is cool and then reheat it to 400 degrees for 1 hour. That has always seemed to work fine for me. Some of my old Harley cylinders that I have painted, and cured, look great after 20 years.
Thanks for the compliments!

Ok, that's good. I thought "set up" time might be really long. I wish I had the facilities for baking paint as I know how much that improves durability. That's a show quality engine you have there.

Garrett,
If you have the room, and the electricity, for an electric stove, you might go to an appliance store. They will usually haul off a customers old stove and will sell it for very cheap. A friend of mine actually was paid $10.00 just to haul one off. That was 15 years ago and he is still using the oven. Burner's didn't work, but all he needed was the oven.
Just a thought.

I have collected a lot of Chrysler hemi parts since 1981, and I have never been able to lay my hands on those. Those things just get tossed long before a real Chrysler guy gets ahold of the motor. Might be best to get detailed dimensions and make your own. Poly motor brackets are no problem since hot rodders aren't actively trying to dislodge them.

I would be willing to re-create a couple of sets of these brackets, if someone is interested. The material cost is hardly anything, but the labor would be at least 2-3 hours.
Let me know if anyone is interested.

If you end up doing a batch of them, I would be interested in a set - depending on cost.

When I get a little time, I'll pick up some steel and make a set. Lets see how they come out. The front one should be fairly easy but the rear has a couple of hard bends. I'll take mine off the car to use as a pattern. I need to re-blast them and repaint anyway. Should have used black epoxy primer instead of gray.

For sure not 392 hemi. Don't know how the air filter mounted on a 57 Dodge Cornet, but thats probably what it's for since it was in the trunk of that model car. These are the brackets off my 58 N/Y'er, 392.
