The 58 b-block oil pan is a one year only part, so the chances of finding one are not very good, and it may not be a good pan for a 440 anyway. Hollander lists it as interchange number 160, pn1737768.
Hollander interchange number 179, pn 2268459 says it will interchange with the 160 if dipstick 2402841 is used. This pan is used on a lot of vehicles including Chrysler '59-64, DeSoto '59-61, Dodge Coronet, Royal and Custom Royal in '59, Dodge '60-61, Dodge 880 '62-64, Imperial '59-66, and Plymouth '59-61. So it looks like the local junk year has at least two possible donor cars, and think there may even be more. I'll try to get out there later this week and pull a pan and pick-up. I'll take some pictures and measurements is there is any interest. This may be old news to most of you but I couldn't find the answer by browsing the forum for several hours, and through the search function. |
