Expert 5K+ Posts: 9900     Location: Lower Mainland BC | The visor on the driver's (my) side of my 56 Dodge Custom Royal D500 is siezed in the up position. I can swing it from the front to the side but not up and down. The passenger side was stiff but it moved. I tried forcing the driver's side visor but it started to rip the cardboard. I need to know the structure inside the visor so I can grab it with needle-nose vise grips and apply force in the appropriate location (and not rip the cardboard). Any one with a photo of a stripped 56 Dodge visor? (I did a search of the forum but nothing came up in my face).  | ||

Indeed the 52 Plymouth one is/was close to mine. *Naturally* this couldn't be confirmed 100% without removing the outer cover from the inner mechanism and masonite. Good news with the rod and the metal attached to the masonite exposed I was able to use the Mopar Combustion Chamber Cleaner spray bomb to get something in there to break the rust free. Seems to be fine now. Of course, the can of worms has been opened yet again and I have to "sew" the visor cover back on. I'm sure that will be easy. NOT.  Edited by 56D500boy 2017-05-15 1:21 AM | ||
