Location: North Australia | Excellent skills!! My son has a question regarding your tattoo. What is the missing word? My question is, what is the goal with your car? (original or modified). Please post more pictures and information on your 59 2 door hard top as you progress. Steve.

Member Posts: 34 Location: Eringsboda/Blekinge/Sweden | Thanks Steve :-) No missing words on the tattoo ;-) My goal with the car is almost stock (Exner was right from the beginning) Just lowering it little and a Larry Watson style paint job in early 60's style, have a lot of photos to post, i'm only halfways with the rust repair, but i'm almost done with the right side of the car, left is much worse ! (excuses for my bad English, i'm living next to the North Pole (Sweden) :-)

Expert 5K+ Posts: 9862 Location: So. Cal | Great work! I agree that Stephan's panels are really nice. They have saved me a lot of work too. Completely rust free, unrestored 2dr cars don't exist anymore. Metal skills are required now and you definitely have it in hand. Nice job.

Expert 5K+ Posts: 9862 Location: So. Cal | If you end up making a good tool to press that body mount in the floor, make 2 of them and I will pay you for it, and pay to ship it. I need one too. The reliefs that come in the floor panels are not deep enough. I would definitely wait to fix that door. Since your car has pretty good paint on it, there is no sense in cutting through that door until the car is ready for a re-paint.

Member Posts: 34 Location: Eringsboda/Blekinge/Sweden | Has not got so much done today, but an hour was it, my wife's children came in and helped for a while, cut out the last bad bit of the floor, luckily, so was the body mount solid, leaving the old floorpiece to my friend's workshop so he can manufacture a stamping die next week (Telefon bilder 72953.jpg) (Telefon bilder 72954.jpg) (Telefon bilder 72955.jpg) Attachments ---------------- Telefon bilder 72953.jpg (164KB - 302 downloads) Telefon bilder 72954.jpg (147KB - 290 downloads) Telefon bilder 72955.jpg (151KB - 276 downloads)

Member Posts: 34 Location: Eringsboda/Blekinge/Sweden | Powerflite - 2017-06-17 9:29 PM Left the old floor piece to my friend today, so he would start producing a tool, if it works good maybe we can do another one, the paintwork is really bad on it, painted least three times and many blisters in it, so it must be bare metal If you end up making a good tool to press that body mount in the floor, make 2 of them and I will pay you for it, and pay to ship it. Member Posts: 34 Location: Eringsboda/Blekinge/Sweden | Many months ago since i did anything to my Dodge, but now I have started to work at it again, waited a long time for that my friend would make a stamping die for the bodymount , but it nothing happened so I had to fabricate it myself at my work, managed to fabricate the last piece for the floor, so now is the right side done, now im goint to put some lead on the rear fender and rocker, and put some epoxy primer on all the bare steel before I start on the left side of the car. Expert 5K+ Posts: 9862 Location: So. Cal | Not quite...it's a '62, although I believe the '62 C-bodies and A-bodies should be included. The '62 B-bodies are better suited to the '62-'65 group & the drive-train changed quite a bit in '62 so that's some good reasons for the cutoff. But the A-bodies didn't change much until '63 came along. Looks like a really clean Valiant. I will be converting the slant in my '61 Lancer to fuel injection in the next year or two to improve it's fuel consumption and drive-ability. Edited by Powerflite 2018-03-11 2:34 PM
