Has anyone got a supplier for the sway bar rubber bushings?
Are the rubber bushings the same from '57 to '65?

The cold molded rubber ones are not very durable.............

When you say cold molded, are you referring to Gary Goers?

Yes, those bushings are cold molded, as far as I understand.

I've ordered some Moog '65 Chrysler bushings, will check fit and inform here.

Update, the Mevotech MK7061 (Moog K7061) for '65 New Yorker does NOT fit.

The Chrysler '60 (NY/Saratoga) have a swaybar with 3/4" diameter, while the Chrysler '65 (NY) have 13/16" diameter.

Is here anyone who knows if the other MoPars from '65 have the swaybar with 3/4" diameter?

Any chance the '65 Chrysler sway bar can be installed on the '60?

That's I thought I've dwelled on as well. Yes, hypothetically it should fit, perhaps only enlarging the holes in the lower control arm bushings for the sway bar.

I found that the D shaped front sway bar bushes were impossible (for me) to fit to the brackets. I used a pair of rubber bushes from a Toyota land-cruiser and they fitted easily. I modified the brackets to apply some compression to the bushes on installation. I can post pics (and possibly a part number) if you're interested in my method. I am to put the car on my hoist to check the front end components soon. I am also considering changing (some) to urethane components to tighten the front end, specifically the steering. Keen to hear anyone's experience with this.

Steve.

Here is a pic I copied across from my Members Rides thread. The original type bush is on the left, the Tojo bushes in the center and right. You can see the small buttons I machined up, which compress the rubber bush when you tighten the assembly onto the strut.
2nd edit. I must be getting old! I went to look at the car and I did install urethane bushes, not the black rubber type in the pic. Worth noting here for those less experienced, the saddles which hold the D shaped bushes are side specific, ie a left and a right.
ps the red urethane bushes look terrible, I couldn't find black urethane type, but I bet they exist.

Wiz, a quick search turned these up. I will double check the part number if you are interested. I probably wrote it into my log.

Thanks' Steve! Do the urethane bushings squeek on the sway bar? I will look for black ones, the red ones are too hot for me
