OK, I guess the right thickness gasket is still unavailable as a replacement. Anyone have an extra original in useable condition? tried gluing 2 together w/o success.

Do yourself a favor and get some Viton rubber sheet and make your own. Viton will withstand the modern fuel composition.

For my Chrysler '60 I used .0625" (1/16").
Cut out a "gasket" in 1/16" cardboard or whatever rubber and test the fit.

Find a local seal and O ring store. They have hundreds of sizes. I picked up a couple of these O rings local, counter guy has a Dodge Charger and gave me the O rings. I just picked out the one that fit the best and installed it. filled the tank and no leaks !!!!! Helps if you grease up the O ring and the under side of the sender and carefully set it in place.
