Expert Posts: 1886 | Nice meeting everyone. Was my first time trying to setup the tent and display. Next year will have a tent put up in advance without the rig so people can walk around the cars. Learned a lot about what to do and what not to do for setup. I talked to so many people, was really great putting faces to names. I'm currently stuck on side of road in the big rig as I ate a bearing/race/hub on trailer. I got lucky and stopped before any significant damage. I will be here for at least a day while parts are gathered. Excited to come bigger and better next year with some different cars. There were a lot of great cars in the show field. You guys that didn't come have to make a point of coming, so worth it!

Elite Veteran Posts: 769 Location: Oley, PA | 71 Charger fan - Thanks for adding those nice close-up photos. I really like details that set our cars part from the rest. For anyone who has never been to the Chrysler Nationals at Carlisle, it really is an incredible event. The Forward Look crew is always well represented, but it's worth mentioning that we make up only a small fraction of the participants, the overwhelming majority of the show consists of muscle car era B and E-body cars. I was surprised that there were only a small handful of Forward Look cars for sale in the car corral. My favorite was this 61 Dodge with the long rams and 4-speed. Not sure if it was sold, but was offered at $32,500 Edited by Greg P. 2017-07-17 10:38 AM (IMG_8838.jpg) (IMG_8835.jpg) (IMG_8837.jpg) Attachments ---------------- IMG_8838.jpg (104KB - 98 downloads) IMG_8835.jpg (104KB - 92 downloads) IMG_8837.jpg (66KB - 90 downloads)

Hot (meaning cold) Cold (meaning hot) He is running a blow-through carburetor, which naturally cools incoming air as it atomizes the fuel. He is also running a big front-mount intercooler. If he is running E85 or methanol, there is a good chance that the intake manifold would have frost on it after a pass. I understand what you're getting at about the intake being just above the hot engine and exhaust, and I also may have drawn it up differently. But he seems to be getting good results with it anyhow. I believe these are youtube videos of the same car from 6 or 7 years ago (before the intercooler): https://www.youtube.com/user/siderwicz

Expert 5K+ Posts: 9904 Location: Lower Mainland BC | Not saying that it doesn't work. Even before the intercooler, it worked more than fine. Just saying that an intercooler gives you a Delta T and if T_in is lower, T_out will be lower too. The lower the T, the denser the air, the more fuel you can throw at it = more horsepower. BUT maybe that doesn't matter when even before the intercooler, it did this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=itz6hG1O8w8

Found on Fazzebook This is my car and I was parked near the fence as part of the Rapid Transit Tour, hence the windshield sticker. Kinda of a Power Tour for Mopars. From Carlisle, we ran down to Pigeon Forge, TN, toured the Smokey Mountains, did the Tail of the Dragon, spent some time in NC ( and a short spell in GA) and then back home again through the worst rain I've ever seen in my life. . Overall, it was 2029 miles, door to door. Original 354 poly/torqueflite and while she ran a little hot pulling those mountain grades, the old girl got me there and back again with little fuss. I even got to chat with Herb McCandless for a bit.
