Some Forward Look cars in the Car Corral at this year's show in Iola, WI. The red 1957 Chrysler Windsor was being sold by a Green Bay restoration shop. I didn't find out how much money he was asking, but I imagine it couldn't have been top dollar as the pitting on the pot metal was pretty extensive and obvious.

The amount of Forward Look cars at Iola 2017 for the car show wasn't large. Here are the pictures that I took of them. There were a few more under a tent at the front of the Krause Publishing Company building, but I didn't get around to them in time before the show ended for the day. I think they were former Ruffulo collection cars however as I have seen them before.

The car may actually be copper/black. The metallics in the paint make it look purple. Can you confirm that, '58 Desotos Rule' ? Also, any pics of the interior or a closeup of the For Sale sign in the windshield ?

The 1955 De Soto is painted a rich lavender/purple color. It looks even nicer in person. It might be resprayed in a 1956 color as the owner had a 1/18 scale model of a 1956 De Soto on the roof of his car painted in an identical manner. I remember such a car painted in the same colors at the Imperial Palace Collection in Las Vegas - it was a 1956 model.I could not see any price on the for sale sign even after I blew the pisture up on my computer. Maybe the owner wanted people to make an offer.

No idea what the asking price for the 1961 Imperial was, sorry. It looked pretty straight and solid to me.

Doctor DeSoto I did take a few pictures of the 1961 Ford Country Squire station wagon sitting next to the Chrysler 300C. I also took a few pictures of the 1956 Lincoln Premiere that was parked on the other side as well.

Was the Country Squire for sale, or just being shown ?

It was just being shown. It was a handsome car well worth the special attention that had it under canvas near the Krause Publishing building. (Primo real estate at Iola.

I am several weeks behind in reading posts, but I will claim ownership on the black '59 Fireflite. I drove it the 410 miles round trip and it ran like a champ! Here are more photos from Iola.

56, nice pic of your Fireflite with the storm in the background. It is such an unusual and handsome car, thanks for putting more photos up of it and the other FL cars. That looks like an excellent show.

Steve.
