I am hoping to find the one in my 1957 Dodge. I know the cars history well and I am fairly sure it would still be in there. I really don't know where to look though. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Trying to get it ready for fall Hershey and thought that would be cool to have.

I am assuming you already know that you can order a copy from the Chrysler Historical archives.. If you want a real paper copy, get your hand over the cardboard glove box from under the dash, and feel around the box. In 57 Dodges there's often a build sheet stuck on there.

I sent in to them for it but they still have not cashed the check a month or so later. Also they say this about the subject on the form you send in. Thanks for the help I am will look there later today.
? The build card should not be confused with the build sheet, which is sometimes found in a vehicle.
Not all codes for the vehicle will be included on build cards.

Can't tell if you are joking or what. I sent a US$Money order = virtual cash. If I had sent a cheque, then it would have been free?

Or not?

I called today and they had me send an email. Then I come home tonight to an envelope from them all excited. My check is in it and a letter that basically says sorry we are to busy to decode this for you so here is an image of your build card. Pretty disapointing I was hoping to have a copy of this for Hershey. Any one have any idea how to decode these things? In reality I know about everything about the car since its never left the family, but there are a few things I would be interested to learn from it if possible, and I wondered just how much info comes from it.

Okay. Post the build record and let us a go at it. There are a few members here who can help out. 1957 was a transition year for Dodge and its sales codes so it can be fun.

I would like to order a build card for my car as well; would Chrysler historical Archives have the cards for Canadian made cars also?

Unfortunately the Canadian build cards were destroyed years ago. Apparently they were kept for six or seven years and then tossed. Not sure what the Canadian historical section had, but before 1980 (the Canadian historical section was closed with the restructuring of the company around 1980) they were never able to answer any questions regarding production, engines, etc. that I had.

Here is an image of my build card that they sent. I guess this should of been posted in vin decoding instead of general discussion. Sorry about that. I am taking the car to Hershey next week so really bummed that Chrysler did not pull through for me.
