Hellow and thanks for letting me in.
Here is some pictures of our lowmile 60 New Yorker.
It's a quite nice looking car from a short distance it's not perfect but ok for us anyway.

I am in love with your car!!! I own a 1960 Saratoga 2 door hardtop that was originally painted the same color, Bluegrass Metallic. Gorgeous. The previous owner of my car painted it turquoise.

Well we will have to decode the data tag and get the paint code!! I still think it's bluegrass, but could be wrong. Whatever it is is gorgeous.

outside looks green or turquoise but interior vinyl looks blue. could this be from the factory? usually interiors were color keyed, so no mix of blue and green. yet, a beauiful car!

Looking at the color chart I don;t think its any of the blue hues shown. I'll check my color and upholstery book to see if they offered a blue interior with Bluegrass paint.

I just took a look at my color and upholstery book for 1960.
This car seems to have the Interior Trim Code# 301 blue, which was available only with outer colors Formal Black, Polar Blue, Starlight Blue, and Alaskan White on Hardtops.
The Turquoise interior Trim Code 305 came with the Bluegrass, Alaskan White, Seaspray and Formal Black. This car sure seems to me to be Bluegrass .....which would make the interior color blue Code 301 wrong.
I'd like to see the Data tag.
MY color and upholstery book is uploaded on Flickr at this link https://www.flickr.com/photos/mopar380/albums/72157670306104296

Well, yes and no Ian - the original color is in the trunk, door/pillars and inner fenders. The body has been repainted with a decent match to the original color, but since magnesium is no longer used as "metal flakes", the aluminum used today makes it somewhat too Bright, as you can see in the difference between the reinforcement on inside of the trunk and the rear fin/fender.

Sorry, seems like we hijacked this thread....

Sven, I like that little accessory box you have. Great for storing stuff and keeps things from sliding into the quarter panel and doing damage.

So what color do you think the New Yorker is, based on the paint color chart? I sent a PM to the owner for the data plate codes but haven't heard back yet.

My guess is that the New Yorker is Polar Blue Ian.

The paint chip charts are useless, but the color samples in the Chrysler color and upholstery book for 1960 are true.

The sad thing is that all my color samples has melted together (more or less) and I guess that that's the case in your book as well.

That is a great looking car. If it is Polar blue that would be a perfect match since the car is up there by the Polar Circle. :-)

Yes it's a original 45000 miles New Yorker exept for a repaint in the lat 60's thats why the interior colour is blue and the exterior is green.
Otherwice it's quite nice
some smal dents here and there it rides just like when it was new

Here is some more photos of the NY.
The car had a repaint in the late 60's after an trafic insident and thats why the interion is original and the exterior got a nother color
Othewise it looks real nice from 5 meters
The engine and transmission works smoth.
It has 45000 miles on it and i think that is correct.

Ps sorry for my bad English

I see the correct color on the inner fenders - black for LA produced cars, but the radiator frame labels are missing, as well as the air cleaner label.
I have high quality reproduced labels in stock for the '60 Chryslers - Contact me if you'd like a list and prices...

Nice. Black inner fender wells, and black core support indicate the car was built in the Los Angeles plant. Other plants painted them body color.

THe code DD1 was used both for the Chryslers and for the Imperials

DD1 Chrysler = Polar Blue

DD1 Imperial = Moonstone Blue

As seen in the bad paint chip scan, there's a (big) difference.....
