The air splitter under the dash which way does it go by default with the spring?  It forces toward the dash vents or floor vents?


I am thinking it pushes downward to help the floor stay closed and default to the dash vents?

This is a non ac car, just the big flap that separates the up and down air.

checked the 58 Plymouth and it pushes "upward" by default. the spring goes at the bottom thusly.
