I can no longer work on my favorite vehicle, nor can I really afford to pay someone to do it for me. I am planning to put it up for sale and would like some feedback on a possible starting price range. I am sure I will miss some information and the attached photos are minimal- more when sun finaly appears.

1961 Canadian Windsor

2 dr Ht

I have owned it for 17 years and no rust has appeared so I feel confident that the bodywork that has been performed (evidenced by a few paint runs, etc) it was done fairly well. Mixture of original paint and repaint.

It needs a paint job and there are a few door dings, etc.

It has shocks and rear leaf springs with probably less than 5,000 miles on them.

The door panels are original and in very good shape.

The seats have been redone in NOS fabric and new vinyl. pachage tray redone in matching vinyl. Carpet need to replaced.

Trunk and floor plans seem solid

The transmission leaks but works very well.

Bumpers are driver quality

Engine - 361- Best guess is 110K- runs well, but has more blowby than I like. It is noisey, not knocks, but probably just general wear and tear. I have a 383 sitting in the garage that I bought after pulling the heads and inspecting the cylinders. I was told that it had very few miles on it before it was stored. The cylinders looked like they were in excellent shape and the whole engine was spotless .I put a new cam and lifters/push rods int it and all new gaskets.

Stock appearing dual exhaust.

Windshield has a what appears to be damage from a BB gun. It is near the roof on the driver's side.

Wheels are late 60s road wheels-center caps are the early ones that sat proud of the rim width.

No parts missing that I can think of.

FliteDeck trunk lid.

Clear streering wheel- need to be recast

Chrome trim around interior windows

Dash pad - some cracks- driver quality.

Congratulations - beautiful car! Hope you came out alright. Is the buyer a member here - or the possibility of being one? Best of success to you in your future.

Thanks.

Buyer said he was active on the site when it was first starting up. He had several FWDLK Desotos at the time. It appears as if he is starting over.

Car + a year of selling Canadian parts and literature = just over $20,000.

Both buyer and seller are happy
