This might be old news but I didn't find anything on this site about this car. Owned then by a Doug West.

Nice car.
It's funny how he mentions having trouble pronouncing the model name Adventurer yet he keeps calling the brand a "De Soda"

Lads --
Dennis Gage really doesn't do a bad job with his shows and "DeSoto" has all kinds of pronunciations -- most of them wrong. I tend to slur it into "DaSodo," if I don't stutter!
There might be an interesting comparison between that '59 Adventurer and my '60 Fury as to the amount of chrome (or stainless steel) on either as my Big-Tailed Beast has those chrome rocker panels which reach rear wheel opening heights aft of the wheels. Perhaps the Beast has even more, being that it is a cheaper car with very little gold anodization, plus the additional chrome skirts.
Incidently, when Dennis did my car for his program, he did express considerable sincere interest in it and listened to what I had to say to him especially in my explanation of the principle of ram induction and a tuned intake system. I thought him quite a contrast to a lot of "impartial" judges wearing bow ties or blue ovals. In the faint event that anyone may be interested, the BTB was in "My Classic Car's" Season 16, Episode 17.
