Member Posts: 26 Location: Prince Albert, Saskatchewan | Hello! I am looking for front fenders, quarters, floors and rockers for a 1957 Chrysler. Preferably a 2dr hardtop but interested in everything. I am located in Saskatchewan Canada so would prefer parts located in Canada but again am open to anything available. Thanks!

Expert Posts: 1737 Location: Hay Lakes, Alberta, Canada | There really isn't a lot of repro sheet metal available. And what is...isn't typically very good quality. Don't buy anything from "Classic to Current" (CtoC), especially their rockers. There is a seller currently listing floor panel sets on evilpay, and I've heard that they are pretty good. Find NOS Schott rockers, made in the 60's. They are good. And you can buy great quality floor braces from Finland. Big M is a great place to buy from. If you don't want to go that far, I do have a couple '57 Windsor fenders here...they will need a bit of rust repair.

Schott panels are replacement aftermarket panels that were made oversize to slip over existing rusty panels and then brazed or stick welded into place. Yes, they were made in the 60s, before MIG welding became commonplace in body shops. Not NOS. Ron

Expert 5K+ Posts: 5006 | I can get you Schott rockers, they are local to me. It is a very mom and pop shop. They aren't set up for internet orders but call them if you want and if they wont ship let me know, they used to take "dealer only" orders. I think I took their last printed catalog Dark and old big stamping machines. I need to see if they could fire up lower quarters or something. I think they could probably handle that fairly easily. Not sure what the demand is for which parts? They can't be beat on cost and their stuff is good but not perfect, but no ones is. I just put a full size rocker on my dodge and it was a huge benefit. Well worth the cost and saved me many hours of work. Schott are not oversize, they are not made in the 60's, they were made recently. I walked thru the bins they have and I think they had about 50 of the left side (Chrysler, Dodge, Desoto) full length two door rockers. I swapped one out. They ONLY have rockers and they are the best ones out there but they have them for all 57-59 cars(even wagons, get the extended rockers). DO NOT DO NOT buy rockers from Classic to Current, I made the mistake and they are utter garbage. You can use the inner rockers, but outers are short and not bent right at all. I also ordered floor pans from Ron in Georgia for 400$ plus shipping. You can contact him directly and he might do 400$. His stuff is very usable also and the best you can find out there. Perfect? nope.

Member Posts: 26 Location: Prince Albert, Saskatchewan | Thanks Brad, I believe we discussed those fenders a few years ago and then I never pursued them. Do you have any photos? Specifically of the rust requiring repair. Thanks, Jon

Member Posts: 26 Location: Prince Albert, Saskatchewan | Hi John, Thanks for the reply. Are you willing to sell the quarters off of your '58's or only the full cars? Jon

Jon I'm selling these as entire cars, but floors, trunk floor, quarters are solid, depending on how the rest of your sheetmetal is, may well be worth it. ---John

Mike - Aren't there Schott panels that were stamped back in the 60s ? Maybe the current stampings are different. But most of the vintage aftermarket stuff I've seen were designed as slip overs. Expert 5K+ Posts: 5006 | they've been in business forever. That is possible but I doubt these are the kind of guys to change a stamping...
