1960 Dodge dart wagon.

Electric tailgate window.

What is the best way to lower the electric window manually to open the rear hatch?

I have removed inner panel from tailgate. Can I run power direct to motor? I only see three wires, (red, yellow, black)

Thank you for your help/insights.

Yes power can be run directly to the motor in order to have it work / go down
However, remember that there is a limit switch located on the left side of the tailgate that engages with the jamb area when tailgate is in up position. This switch has to be engaged in order for the motor to function. It's a safety so that window can only be operated with the tailgate in closed position.

You could also disconnect the motor and remove the arm in order to disengage the regulator from the window and then manually push / slide the window down into the tailgate.
