Location: San Antonio TX |  So, looking at pictures of Saratogas and Windsors, is the Saratoga rear trim just half of the Windsor rear trim cut off by the full length chrome spear? Because if it is, that would make finding trim a little easier for me because all I would need is just the trim from one side of a Windsor to make enough Saratoga trim for two sides of my car. Pics attached to illustrate what I am talking about.

Location: Oley, PA | I would say they similar but definitely aren't the same. The radius of the curve at the front is quite a bit different. Also, the lower part of the Windsor trim is shorter in length than the top, so I don't think it could just be turned upside down and used on the opposite side. |

Location: So. Cal | They definitely are not the same. However, the rear upper part on the 4dr Windsor is the same part as the rear upper molding on a 4dr Saratoga. The 2dr Saratoga used one loooooong piece, but the 2dr Windsor always broke it up into 3 pieces, almost as if it were to always be used on a 4-door. On the 2dr Windsor, they spliced the pieces together with that #2 cap shown above. They could have made that cap a little longer to use the exact same length trim pieces as the 4dr, but they didn't! Instead they have extra-long pieces on the 2-dr that use a smaller splice cap. However, if you make your own extra-long splice cap (only about 1/2-3/4" longer than normal), you can use it to splice together 4dr trim on a 2dr and only you and I will know the difference. But getting your hands on that upper Saratoga 2dr trim is going to be a real trick if you don't have a parts car. |

Yeah now that you said something, I can tell that there is a pretty noticeable difference towards the front and the size of the bottom.

Definitely something I will probably do. I may end up just getting Windsor trim and cutting it. No one will probably notice the slight difference in curve towards the front of the trim. Plus I'll have the remaining trim to make it into a normal Windsor trim if I ever decide to do so. Were any Windsors made with the wide full length Saratoga chrome spear like mine has? Or is that likely someone else's doing after manufacture?

The VIN is W5744017. I tried using this page: https://www.allpar.com/old/model-guide/ to decode the VIN, and while I could find where my car is (model C75-1) it doesn't offer any specifics on whether or not it's US or Canadian made. That says, it does mention that C75-2 is a Saratoga sold as Windsor from Canada. I think that may mean mine is an American Windsor, but I am not 100% sure. The car did come from up north (Wisconsin/Minnesota) so I think there is a reasonable liklihood of it being Canadian too.

Location: So. Cal | Post your VIN and body tag info (located on the right front radiator support) on the VIN decode section of this site, and I am sure that someone can tell you if you have a Canadian model or not. They also had unique interior cloths and other things unique to them. |

I can't tell you with certainty but Chrycoman (Bill) should be able to tell you if he can read it. I believe that WX paint means that you should have a turquoise roof with a white body. But turquoise isn't usually associated with an 055 trim code car. However, white is associated to it.

Location: Hay Lakes, Alberta, Canada | Not Canadian. Cars built up here didn't use the U.S. body tag...unfortunately. Ours have limited information on them: Model number, body number, paint code, and trim code.
What about using the Saratoga 4 door mouldings, and having them TIG welded together?
