Beware that on eBay people sell just the article (cut from the magazine), often for more money than you can actually buy the whole magazine, if you look a little harder. Beware. Buy the magazine when you can. Sorry about the quality 150 dpi was too big for the <250 kB limit so I had to use 100 dpi. Expert 5K+ Posts: 5174 | Your not the only one, I have a HUGE backlog of scanning This is Motor Lifes 3000 mile travel update on the 59 Sport Fury with a golden commando. I am also starting to detect these "car magazine" guys dont want to trash the vehicles to much in their articles... because they wanted to get more test cars Hot rod seemed to be a bit more critical because they didnt review alot of cars. Mostly customs and stuff. A custom chrysler was SUPER rare... Looking through a couple years and there wasnt really one custom mopar... Mostly chevys and fords. Have you tried clicking on the scroll bar on the right side of the frame and pulling down? Literally takes 2 seconds top to bottom. No biggy. I tried your pdf method but frankly the pdf scans that you have posted are very poor quality at <250 kB per page and loading them is a pain in the but. Scanning to jpg to <250 kB results in a much better image. I don't know why you are worried about server issues. There are many long treads with many photos, e.g. the 281 page@50 posts/page Old Photos/Postcards thread, that have to load a bunch of photos (one page at time) whenever you click on the thread and nobody is complaining about it. (That I know of). Try the click and drag method of "scrolling" (in this case "pulling"/dragging) through the various posts. I think once you do that you will see why I think the issue is moot. Bild? viele Bilden? As for contemporary, more people need to step up and contribute. Somebody will have to use lists like I put together from Collectible Automobile (or Hemmings or ??) and find the magazines and scan the photos (<250 kB = about 100 dpi or 150 dpi and then processed down to 65% (or so)) and then up load them. No. 10 and 11, and Vol. 21 No.s 2 through 9, related to the 56 Dodge (missing a few, i.e. Vol. 20 No. 12 and Vol. 21 No.1 and No.10). In terms of back covers that I have and haven't posted, I think I am missing Vol.21 No.5 and need to repeat 21/6 and 21/8 because what I posted before was from the internet. So here are those 3 (if you have Vol 20 No. 12 ad Vol. 21/1 and 21/10 please contact me or post them up). Exner Expert 10K+ Posts: 11220 Location: Lower Mainland BC | Interesting that on pg. 40 above, in the first paragraph, they suggest that there were 16 body styles for the 56 Dodge. I only count 7: 2dr sedan, 4 dr sedan, 2 dr hardtop, 4 dr hardtop, convertible, 2 door wagon and 4 door wagon.
