Elite Veteran Posts: 943 | Would Imperial rear brake drums fit on New Yorker hubs? I am just trying to get a car rolling to so I can get it moved to me. It's a 57 New Yorker It has no rear brake drums. I have several extra Imperial rear brake drums but no New Yorker ones. Or is there something that would prevent them from going on?

Or is there something that would prevent them from going on? There might not be an issue with the size of the drums (12") BUT I think the issue is the bolt circle size. I think the Chryslers are 5 x 4.5 whereas the Imperials are 5 x 5.5, i.e. won't fit REFERENCE: http://www.carnut.com/specs/gen/chry50.html

Expert Posts: 3887 Location: Northen Virginia | that is an Imperial dilemma on the restoration process, a lot of parts are exclusive, even between 57-58-59 what at first look seem identical cars they are not.
