Looks fantastic! Was repainted back in 91, and still looks very nice. Seems as though the owner loved the vechicle and took good care of it. Seller claims it was manufactured the day Chrysler announced the closing of Desoto.

The one for sale looks great!

I hate to admit it, but the more I watched the hot rod paint process, the more I thought "that really is a cool paint job!"

As long as it doesn't end up in a crusher, I can live with it. I'm sure someone will come along in a couple decades and reverse the modifications. The rarer these cars get, the more incentive people have to revert crazy customs back to their original look.

well, that car wasn't about to be crushed, look with what he started, people who do such a **** mostly start with perfect cars. in that condition, no longer a classic, it is much more likely to end up in a crusher, as it has drastically decreased in value. even if someone reverses these things (unlikely), it will never be the same. just the stripping of the perfect factory primer makes me cringe.

I know, I'm just trying to be optimistic about it

The car for sale is probably the nicest 1961 DeSoto I've ever seen, beautiful car!
