Anyone know where I could find one of these?
I'm told the power bench seats from many years for this body style fit.
Any leads would be appreciated.

there is no difference between power and manual, just the feet are changed

57 59 2 doors are all the same with the exception of the dip in the seat.

Are you talking about the cushion and seat back, or the power seat mechanism ?

57-59 Dodge, DeSoto, Chrysler, and Imperial all shared the same 6-way power seat track assembly. In Canada, only the Dodge Custom Royal shared the same assembly.
The Plymouth (and Canadian-built Plodges) used a 2-way power seat track. The 57 used a plastic side panel, which proved too flimsy to support the power switch control properly, so the 58 switch mounted to a chrome panel towards the front of the seat. The 59 switch attached to a new panel, that also acted as a cover over the whole assembly.

The seat cushion assemblies from all models will mount to the power seat track.

If you are going to mount the power seat into a car that didn't have one before, you NEED to install the recessed power seat pans into the floor pans. Otherwise you won't be able to use the power mechanism.

I just saw a power seat mechanism rusty sell for like 1000$ they are hard to get and are not cheap.

I would assume the power seat mechanism is different from 2 to 4 door?

In 59, there was a change to the track assembly which, IIRC, eliminated the need for the floor recesses. Everything else is the same 57-9.

Don Ashby -

I have at least one 57-8 power seat assembly and one 59 assembly. PM me if interested.

Its not just a case of swapping out the seats......

Your going to need the floor channel boxes too then...as the Power seat drops down about 2-3 inches into the floors....my 58 Sierra Wagon has original power bench seat

Going by the 1957-59 parts books, the Canadian-built Dodge Custom Royal, Chrysler Windsor, 1958-59 DeSoto Firedome and 1959 Chrysler Saratoga all used the same 6-way power seat as the U.S. models for that particular year.

Thanks for all the great info and help.
Yes, this car has the lower channels below the floor pan.
The car originally had the power seat option. I'm just missing the power seat and frame mechanism.
