Looks good! I don't know much about these though, so I can't say how original it is or whether or not it's worth $30k.

It's back! I remember this car being posted here before. I am unable to find the first posting though. Love those 395 engines. ;-)

I sent the seller this email yesterday:

"You might want to edit your posting so you look more like you know what is going on with your Fury's engine. It is most likely a 361 cu in B block. There was no "395". The 395 refers to the torque not the displacement or the horsepower:

"Optional (at extra cost) was the Golden Commando 395 "B" block V-8, which replaced last year's 350. With a slightly bigger bore (4.12 inch to 4.06 inch) and the same stroke (3.38 inch), displacement jumped slightly to 361 cid. The new engine was rated at 305 hp at 4600 rpm, virtually the same rating as the 350. Both shared the same 10:1 compression ratio. Like the Fury V-800 engine, the 361 used just a single carburetor; the engine took its name from its stump-pulling torque — 395 lb-ft at 3000rpm."

And:

"The Sport Fury's engine choices were either a 317.6-cu.in. V-8 (commonly referred to as the "318") or the Golden Commando 395. The 318 had a 3.91-inch bore and a 3.31-inch stroke, which helped it develop 260 horsepower. The 395 (better known as the "361") displaced 360.8 cubic inches due to its larger 4.12-inch bore and longer 3.38-inch stroke, which resulted in a mighty 305 horsepower. Its name is derived from its torque rating of 395-pound feet of twisting muscle. The 395 is known as a Mopar B-series, or "Wedge," engine, due to the wedge shape of its combustion chambers. Both engines were equipped with single Carter AFB four-barrel carburetors and higher lift camshafts; however, the Golden Commando 395 was also fitted with a dual-breaker distributor, super-strong forged connecting rods, forged camshaft and a deep-skirted block for added strength."

Good luck with your sale."

no sports fury in 1960 and the top engine was the low deck 383 either in 1x4v, 2x4v inline, or 2x4v crossram form. the latter called sonoramic commando, the others golden commando.

yup, i got that of course, but that too mentions the 383 as top engine. the press kit (and ads) lists all available engines, the 2 missing GC's and the 361 sonoramic.
