I will be pulling the 2-barrel carb and intake from my '58 325 Dodge motor. This setup should work well for a '56 315 motor. Send me a PM if you are interested.

That would have been helpful 5 days ago. Now the other key part of the info equation is standard transmission or Powerflite automatic?

Do you know the displacement, i.e. 241 cu in or 232 cu in?

Also is this a Canadian 55 Dodge or a US 55 Dodge?

For the US Dodge, the PNs might be 1630 415 or 1630 417 (3-131 or 3-133)

Or it might be a 3-124

Which would be a Stromberg 2bbl that would take this kit:

http://www.carbkitsource.com/kits/ck5011.html

or maybe this? http://www.carbkitsource.com/kits/ck0501.html

a 3-124 would be this:

Yea, I was thinking its the 3-124 I am a powerflite I was on the website you mentioned. But seems like a waste as I cannot find the intake manifold for that carb. I guess I can alway go with dual carbs. This is a US Dodge D62 230.

Thank you very much for your help!

Now we are getting somewhere. D62, 230 cu in six, Powerflite transmission, carburetor = 3-144, PN 1676 334 on a 1671 780 manifold (see below)

"In 1956, 40% of Plymouth buyers still chose the tried and true 230 cid PowerFlow Six shared with Dodge. The Plymouth version pushed out 125 hp, the Dodge 131 hp at 3600 rpm; but Plymouth buyers could buy a Power Pack for the six, which made it the same as the Dodge, with a Stromberg dual throat carburetor, special intake manifold, larger air cleaner, and a 3.9 rear-axle ratio. For 1957, the Dodge and Plymouth engine both put out 132 hp."

As for the stock PNs I used the equivalent of this: http://www.jholst.net/55-58-parts-manual/engine.pdf

If you wanted to go OE 3-144, like this one, i.e. 2 bbl Stromberg:
