Location: Parts Unknown | It was done in 2012-13 and the cost was somewhere around $1200.
If memory serves, the guy I worked with was named Ron, and he was
very cooperative in working with me to dial in the swirled pearlescence
of the original examples I had. The color is WAY blue, compared to the
greener paint and interior colors, but it IS correct, as the factory made
them. The grips and texturing are spot-on perfect. It is really nice.
I was deployed when the work was done. I took it off the car while
home on an R&R and they sent it home while I was back in AFG. It was
waiting for me when I came home the next time. I typically took two
R&R's a year, but did not go home every time. Don't remember the
specifics after all this time, but shooting from the hip, I would say they
had it done in 6-8 weeks (?) |
