Expert Posts: 1488 Location: New Castle PA | I've been contacted by a fellow selling some very nice parts, including a NOS left front fender (single headlight) for a '57 Firedome or Fireflite. It could be adapted with some cutting and made to fit the dual headlight versions, plus Adventurer. He's asking $500. He has some nice used wheelcovers, paper floor mats, and a carb rebuild kit. Three of the floor papers are excellent, one has some tack holes, and one has significant deterioration. Here's what he's asking: 1.$500 for fender 2. $150 for hubcaps 3. $20 for carb kit 4. $50 for mats Contact me at desoto@pathway.net or eandlpetrus@gmail.com and I'll connect buyer and seller. Thanks! Location: Under the X in Texas | There were parts department kits for the "single" to "dual" headlight conversion. They required simply drilling out the spotwelds of the inner bucket and then using small machine screws to bolt the new multi-light bucket into the fender. Remember the change requires everything including the chrome 'door' as they are different per 1 or 2 headlights. Used to see these kits at some Mopar parts vendors. Likely some still around

Elite Veteran Posts: 1153 Location: D-70199 Heslach | Wayne, I thought only the inner doors (8-34-40) are different. So this leads to the conclusion that the shape of the fender corner is different. I thought for example the w/4 number 1770768 is inner and outer door, because there are riveted together to "one piece" I am a bit confused..... And that I don't find "my" number 1770774 makes this circumstance not really better Edited by ToMopar 2018-04-26 6:40 AM (2018_04_26_070.jpg) (2018_04_26_071.jpg) (1770768.jpg) (3804.jpg) Attachments ---------------- 2018_04_26_070.jpg (140KB - 70 downloads) 2018_04_26_071.jpg (76KB - 67 downloads) 1770768.jpg (65KB - 76 downloads) 3804.jpg (111KB - 73 downloads)

Location: Under the X in Texas | There is only one left or right fender stamping for the F'dome, F'flite and Adventurers. Actually the Chrysler stamping is also the same with the lower front lip-to-grille having "trim die" stamping changes to the Chrysler grilles with one unique to the 300. The outer, chrome headlight door makes up the space, via its different shape for a single or dual bulb application, to fit up to the painted inner, hdlt door casting. Until you have one of each in your hand, I don't know how else to explain it. Yes, the inner is riveted to the outer when they were new whether single or dual bulb.

Expert 5K+ Posts: 9604 Location: So. Cal | That's true. I have converted a single headlight fender to use dual headlights without issue. It just requires changing the inner flat portion of the mount to make it work. the outer part of the fender is the same, but all the headlight pieces, including the chrome is different. The right side fender in this picture is from a single headlight car that I converted to use with duals. Expert Posts: 3966 Location: DFW, TX | The chrome bezel for the dual headlight setup is 'fatter' all the way around than the bezel for quads.
