I have a 58 Chrysler Saratoga with power steering. I cannot see a way to check the fluid in the master cylinder with out removing the power brake unit. to remove the power unit I under stand that I have to unbolt the master cylinder first and then remove the 4 bolts holding the power unit. Do I need to keep the brake pedal depressed when removing the power brake unit. thanks for any help Jerry

The canister brake servos are more difficult than the bellow ones. You can remove the lid on the MC with a 5/16" wrench and check the level with a mirror. To change the fluid, use a syringe with a piece of hose and suck out all old brake fluid. Use the syringe to fill up the MC again.

That's the way I've Always done it and it works, but awnkward.....

No, you should be able to remove it without dealing with the brake pedal. It comes out from the engine bay side. And Sven, the wrench size is 7/16" for the brake cap bolt.
