I have a damaged factory pressed tail/turn signal lamp socket, where a traditional repair kit will not work. Is there an entire socket assembly out there to replace the factory one. Any help would be appreciated I had the taillight assembly rechromed and a want to get it back on the car. Thanks.

........this any good?

You might have to make a small plate to mount it to.

Ok the tail locket in my '60 fury is a crimped in design. With that it takes like an 1157 light you change by removing the lense and pushing in and turning the bulb. You are not going to get a replacement socket without replacing the entire light assembly unless some very chance someone somewhere somehow might happen to have one. Then the problem is how on earth to crimp it in place. The push in socket is your best option, plus no more removing the lense to change bulb. Unless your shooting for a 100 point Amelia Island score there is no crime in changing. Use a dremel with a carbide bit and carefully grind away the facing crimp to remove. I have a '60 Fury so yep I know what the socket is.
