Hi All,

I know this has to have been done before I want to convert my 60 Fury from the standard generator to an alternator
as I need a big amp alternator for the 12V AC pump I want to use. I have later 318 alternator brackets they
will work at the water pump mount but the alternator hits the head a poly head must be further forward to an LA motor.

Are there any previous threads on this conversion & the parts used

Thanks Gra

Hey Graham look at my "my barn find" thread

I put pictures up how I modified the factory generator bracket to suit a bosch alternator, it was easy

Thanks for the Dave I was looking for "my barn find" I thought that would be how most would do the conversion but I want to do away
with the mount on the manifold if I can I'm going to play with it today if I can do it without to much hassle I will if not I'll just do the same
& mod the original mount.

Cheers Gra

Thanks Mick...I had to do it your way not enough clearance between the head & alternator to get it in.
