Hi All, while I'm only new to these vehicles, I have quickly understood that the windshield rubber is almost unobtanium. I'm interested to see if anyone has used this seal with good results, opinions good or bad are welcome! Apparently they've sold LOTS.

Thanks in advance

I saw these advertised and wondered if it might be a useful thing to have stashed away for when necessary. I don't have an immediate need but before I unload the cash I was interested in the thoughts of those that have greater experience than I . My apologies, for the record it would be for a 57 New Yorker.

Thanks for your input ToM, much appreciated!

If your windshield rubber seal isn't totally destroyed, if it is still in one piece, get some mineral spirits and a large somewhat flat pan and a scrub brush, ( not too stiff and not too soft ). Soak it and scrub it. The mineral spirits will soften the rubber and the brush will remove the built up dirt. Blow dry, (compressed air ) It worked for me, (59 Dodge). I didn't let the seal set in the mineral spirits overnite. I wasn't quite that brave, didn't know what the results would be. The soaking and scrubbing worked and I was able to reuse the windshield seal. Jerry
