| FIRST TIME USER.I RAN IN TO A PROBLEM I HAD MY 318 PULLED AND SENT TO THE SHOP TO HAVE IT CLEANED AND BORED. GOT IT BACK AND STARTED TO PUT IT ALL TOGHETER.I HAD ONE PROBLEM I CAN NOT REMEMBER IF THE MOTORMOUNTS INSTALLS IN FRONT OR BEHIND THE EARS ON THE BLOCK I HOPE SOMEONE CAN HELP ME THANKS FOR A GREAT SITE. |

Location: N.W. Fla. | After bolting it to the tranny drop it down. Probably will drop on one side or the other, probably doesn't matter which side. |

Location: So. Cal | It does matter because it will offset your motor by around 3/4". The mounts go behind the ears on the block. In other words, the mount goes more toward the back to push the motor more toward the front. |

| thanks for the reply. it looks like it is a difference in the two mounts how can i tell left from right on the motor mounts next time i need too pay more attention when i take it apart and again thanks for the help and a great site |

| now it is going to be real tecnical when it comes to pictures and posting on site i have problems just by writing words. i will try to take pictures in the morning and see if i can post it thanks again for all the help |

Location: Newark, Texas (Fort Worth) | It will look like this, only shifted more forward. This is a big block 383 in a '57 Plymouth chassis. Poly 'A' 301-303-313-318 have more of a bracket offset forward, cylinder more rearward.

| thanks for pictures that will help ,i took some measurements center off mounts to exhaust manifold and it lines up with frame and exhaust pipes thanks for all the help. |
