Looking for the starting button that fits on the transmission selector switch. It is part # 1843420. Thanks For any help. Jerry

These start buttons are not very reliable. I am wondering if there is an easy way to convert a modern switch to work there instead. I get tired of tearing the dash apart to make it work again.

Yeah, I did the same thing with my '58 Coronet, but I would like to setup something that will work with the neutral button eventually.

OR-- change it to a key start. Use an ignition switch off a Ply.

Too boring. Every other car has that!
