I am measuring for the B&T conversion through Driveshaft Specialist, INC, in San Antonio. From the face of the e brake drum to the center line of the pinion yoke, I have between 60 7/8" - 60 15/16" as I measure this distance (by myself).

To Ian, and anyone else who has done the conversion..... Does this sound like the correct distance? will 1/16 inch make or break this potential upgrade?

Also, their measuring sheet asks if the pinion yoke has a "tab". I do not see anything of the sort on mine.

Lastly, I am wondering if anyone knows the bolt circle diameter on the flange of the ball and trunnion.

Thanks so much for your help!

Chris

Thanks...Already completed that part. I now only need the distance across the outside of the ball and trunnion flange. It's either 3 5/8 or 4 ".

Before you do that, think twice. Search this site. Usually conversions should be an upgrade, not a downgrade. Keep ist forwardlook.

It is forwardlook Sid. The Dodge trucks of this era had the same setup. In fact, you can just shorten a forwardlook Dodge truck driveshaft to fit right into your car, and it will have all the conversion parts all ready to go on it.
