It looks like the entire web site is now redesigned. I can't find any trace of Historical services.
You could try contacting them by Email at this address:

My communication with Danielle at FCA Historical last year was via this email address:
Szostak Danielle (FCA) at danielle.szostak@fcagroup.com

I gave the recent eBay seller of the 56 Coronet D500 Danielle's email as per above in order to verify that the D500 engine currently sitting in the engine bay was the engine that was in the engine bay when the car left the factory in May 1956. He tried and reported back that the email bounced with a "E-mail is deleted permanently" message.

Hmm....

(7/17/2018) Not sure if still active (I hope it is), but I searched the FCA page for "historical" and found buried on the Contacts page
https://www.fcagroup.com/en-US/footer/Pages/contacts.aspx
...under North America / United States (pull-down) then scroll down...

Is a payment expected to be included with that mailed request too?

I sent the payment with my request a few months ago. Got the requested material and my check was returned along with the material. No explanation so I'm guessing the info is free now but I didn't get that indication before I mailed my request. So I would send the money and see what happens.

I hear a lot about money being returned. I would go with faxing them with your VIN no., a copy of the registration in your name and a request for as much information that they can provide - all without sending money and then wait and see what they come up with.

I just contacted them on a car I have. This is the correct person and email to contact. danielle.szostak@fcagroup.com I contacted her by email. She said she can not take payment for this service as they work for FCA. She requires proof of ownership in a email photo of your registration or title. She said that it will take several weeks because they do this service in their spare time. They do not do any decoding anymore and just the IBM card is all they have.

If they're doing it for free I imagine they're gonna be swamped with requests.

I do believe that the reason for not giving decoding is due to the fact that it was rarely correct info, even different from the IBM card.

Just get the IBM card and I'm sure there are guys here that will help with the proper decoding.

The dealer info is very nice to have if they posesses this info.

Can't disagree. The only thing I learned from my US$75 was that the engine number was correct for the car (but that would be on the "free" IBM card anyway) and the dealer info.

By the way, you might think that FCA Historical should be able to tell us this stuff - but they can't or won't. I have seen a decent amount of info on letters from FCA in the past, but if my more recent letter is any indication, they've lost a lot of knowledge over the years,*OR* frankly, Scarlet, they just don't give a darn (anymore).

My stuff:
