Umm.... you need to travel more. Yakima WA is on the rain shadow side of the Cascade Mountain range, in a very dry, almost desert area, probably similar to Fresno CA where the only things that grow have been irrigated. Lots of orchards and vineyards in the general area. Overall, dry = likely less rust than you imagine
