I lost the key to my '52 Imperial. How do I go about making a replacement key?

I think your door and ignition are the same key, so if you cannot find a code number, then you will have
to take one of your door locks to your local locksmith.
He will make a key for you.
Code numbers are sometimes found on the back or side of the lock cylinder. If you have the IBM card from
Chrysler Historical/FCA, sometimes it is written on the card.

As the forum's resident locksmith, I can attest to the fact that early Chrysler products didn't stamp code numbers on the lock cylinders, until the late 1960s. They issued a code tag with the keys when the car was new. Most people threw the tags away. A key can be fitted by a locksmith schooled in the older cars, like myself. If you can't find anyone local I would be happy to help but you would have to mail the lock(s) to me. This is my business web site, the vintage auto lock page. https://www.acmesafe.ca/services/vintage_auto_finished_projects.html
