My uncle had a 4dr hardtop 56 Custom Royal Lancer in those colours. His car was one of the reasons I bought my 56 4 dr Custom Royal sedan.

The colour combo, 574-2, (aka 274) i.e. Sapphire white roof, iridescent charcoal poly saddle and crown yellow, was common to at least two of the 56 Dodge adverts, including a Coronet Lancer like the eBay auction:

56 cars in general are not sought after, no idea why. First year for Exner, best fins (That aren't outrageous) No production or quality issues - Christine mania that's all.

In this guys case his paint looks okay but the car needs a ton of work, including floors, glass, interior (door skins are off) A rebuilt engine that has an oil leak ? WTf man, replace your gaskets - it aint hard. Door latches are also speciffic to 56 and very difficult to find.

His starting price was too high for the amount of work needing to be done. A 56 Coronet (Being a lancer helps) was the bottom of the Barrel, and would be like having a Savoy - there was just other better stuff available.

Location: Lubbock, TX		I think the starting bid of $6500 was a pretty good buy for the car IF it's solid and rust free. You're really only buying a solid project, not a driver condition car. As previously said, needs chassis and engine work, new interior, chrome, etc... That's assuming the paint is as good as it appears.
