Hello,

I do not have anything currently (well a stock 1965 mustang radiator zip tied in just to start the car).

I am thinking of running a Champion 22" radiator. Ill paint it black to kind of hide the aluminum aspect. I would like to run a clutch fan and a 7 blade, I just do not see how there is enough room.

What do you all recommend?

I bought a champion all aluminum radiator, spring 2014, great welds, holds less water, yet cools better and weights a lot less than the OE rad. Painted it black too, doesn't look too out of place in semi-gloss.

Radiator started leaking this spring on the lower edges, not much but it sucks that these things only last a couple of years. Yes, I ran it with cooling liquid for aluminum radiators.

The OE one lasted almost 55 years!

Humm. What core size are you running and what fan set up?

They have a lifetime warranty if you get it from them (local to me in southern california

Shown still with the stock rating 14psi cap. Caused boiling and loss of water, everything fine with the supplied champion 16psi cap (same as OE with AC).

I forgot, it installs without any mods to your car. I used aluminum blocks with offset threads, because the rad frame wasn't quite large enough for the desired location and didn't reach the OE mounting studs.

The overflow tube wasn't delivered with it. I threaded some 8mm aluminum tube. If you want it stock length, install it before you install the radiator.

Older Mercedes V8 viscous clutch with aluminum fan, same outer diameter, bolt circle and center bore as Mopar. I lightened it and used aluminum bolts, yet maybe a bit too much slip for a 383, certainly not enough for a 440. I recommend the Mopar Performance viscous fan package.
