Saw this pair of Dodge's only 200 metres from my house this morning, and looking at them it would have been a tough choice to work out which order to stack them in.

You are absolutely correct, Steve
Case in point

Someone on e-bay just tagged the door latches and striker plates from the 57 Windsor I parted to the tune of $67!!
After I was asking only $35 w/free shipping!!

People are desperate for parts I know.

there's a few parts left but 99% of it is rusty metal... I see way to many guys on ebay asking 100$ for a fricking common bolt for these cars

I did see the tow car go past my work with an empty trailer less than 2 hours after I took these photos. Honestly there didn't seem to be too much left, both cars had mega rust and there were rusty parts scattered throughout the interior of the top car. I am hoping that they got picked over for useful parts before scrapping.

I suspect they are from Lockington, where a bloke has about fifteen of this model...

It's possible the bottom wreck is the one in which he had a crash in which the other driver, who seemed determined to suicide, died.

He told me that he was keeping six cars to leave to young relatives, with six others so each would have a spare. The prize of the fleet was a LHD convertible he bought from Phoenix AZ.

What impresses me in that pic is the jeep that can tow 2 to 3 times its own weight? That pic should be inside a new jeep brochere.

No axles, no wheels, no seats, no trim, no engines, no transmissions, no glass, doors and bumpers missing...

A lot of the weight has gone from these relics. Not to mention the rust which has fallen off. I have photos of all the Lockington cars somewhere.

You are right Ray, the bottom car is the one from the accident. He had a clearing sale a couple of years ago which included that convertible along with a lot of other treasures, in the end majority of the money was refunded and he kept all the goods. He had an FJ Holden ute that had some serously big bids placed on it which was the turning point of the sale, after that very few items met reserve and previously knocked down items were hastily renogiated to be purchased back by the vendor! A very odd day!

Yeah, he had some funny ideas all right...

He told me he resisted a lot of offers on individual cars (over ten years ago) because he wanted to leave them to family members.
