Recently completed the Colorado Grand. Has just gone through an extensive paint and interior restoration. Finished in beautiful silver with Oxblood red leather throughout. This is an exceptional example of the highly sought after French muscle car. Featuring the Chrysler Hemi motor from new, the hand built luxury touring car is a thrill to drive. Expert 5K+ Posts: 7393 Location: northern germany | GregCon - 2018-08-27 8:18 PM Cool car but really....in 1957 I would a bought a Ferrari or Jag if I was in that kinda league. Not me. A Ferrari?! No way, ugly and not dependable in those days, same for Jaguar. The Facel Vegas are about the only "sports cars" that appeal to me. Great styling and american drivetrains, a 383 would be the ultimate. The worlds fastest regular production car in 59/60. I always liked these and even before I knew they are realated to Mopar in later years.

Elite Veteran Posts: 915 Location: Pau, S-W France | The Facel Vega is not a Chrysler product but a french make with some Chrysler parts!!! It have only the engine (often DeSoto or Plymouth engine, even if there are some with 354 or 392 hemi) and the automatic transmission. Manual trans were Pont A Mousson made (same as 300F "special"). I've a freind who has one with 392, itsn't very easy to work on it ! Note the dash which mimics wood but in reality is painted sheet metal (facel005 [1024x768].JPG) (facel006 [1024x768].JPG) (facel001 [].JPG) (facel007 [1024x768].JPG) Attachments ---------------- facel005 [1024x768].JPG (132KB - 100 downloads) facel006 [1024x768].JPG (196KB - 108 downloads) facel001 [].JPG (122KB - 107 downloads) facel007 [1024x768].JPG (249KB - 102 downloads)

Expert Posts: 3155 Location: NY & VT | I remember in the late 70s early 80s when I was owner of an E-Type you could also pick these up for like $5000. Should have done.
