Location: Hayward, Calif | Hey Guys, I'm trying to put a Chry sway bar in wife's 59 Dodge. I'm running into interference issues if I try to put the sway bar ends mounted on the top side of the strut rod as it shows in the FSM. But if I mount the sway bar ends to the bottom side of the strut rod, I have room to work with to get the other mount in place. My ? is: will it make any difference if I mount sway bar ends to the bottom side of the strut rods instead of the top side as shown in the FSM ?? Must be a reason why Chry Corp did it this way. Maybe put too much stress on those 2 bolts that hold the strut rod to the lower control arm ?? Does anyone have any info on this sort of situation ? Thanks, Jerry |

Location: Hayward, Calif | Hey Chuck, Thanks for the web site. those pics were really helpful. Looks like mounting the sway bar on the bottom side of the strut rod has been done before. Makes me feel a little better about it. Still having issues with those chrome wire wheels and those sh*t Goodrich tires. Hoping we can find a cure this time. Nice to hear from ya again. Jerry |

Location: So. Cal | I had always heard that you could just turn the frame mount upside down to make them fit. This raises the bar higher to give you more room for clearance. But I have never tried it. |
