Location: Valley Forge, Pa. | I found a COMPLETE tailgate. I shopped around for a while and I found a 1961 Chrysler P.W. tailgate for my 1960 Plymouth not too long ago with all the fixings for $250[shipping was $100]. Believe me, it IS one of the best options I could have on my old wagon although power brakes would have been nice. My guess is that MANY of the parts MIGHT be the same as 1957-62 MOPARs[older or newer?] and used on many Plymouth, Chrysler, Dodge, DeSoto, MOPAR but DO the research. Suburban were not very common and their parts ar not in high demand today so, look for NOS parts as they might be easier to find?parts were not needed so you might find more NOS stuff than used?
Later,
Karl. |

Location: Lower Mainland BC | As suggested, and based on the info below for 57-58, the tailgate window lift mechanism was the same part number (1779 233) for the 1957-58 Plymouths, Dodges, Desotos and Chryslers. That is probably true for the 59-60 tailgates.
