Subject: The 61 Chrysler Two-Tone's

How rare are the two tone 61 Chryslers? It seems like 98% of the time you see a 61, it's a single color car. Even the one's that are two toned are usually repaints by a previous owner of a single color car. Even the brochure for 61 is lacking in multi-color cars, with just one shown.

Can't help with the rarity or not but there were codes for two-tones, should they be desired at the time of ordering. See the bottom of this colour chart:

Interesting point. I have or had six 1961 Chryslers that were not 300-Gs. Two were two-tone. I have a copy of a page from a 1961 Engineering Data Book that lists the numerous two-tone combinations available by body style with which color interiors. It also notes they are reversible, with a few exceptions. Oddly, it shows two-tone combos for certain convertible colors. Not sure what that would be.
