Member Posts: 9 | Just bought this 56 Dodge over the weekend and arranged delivery for later this week! While in mostly pieces, every thing is accounted for and in good condition. Original paint. Interior is out of the car and also quite nice for original. Always wanted a 4 door hardtop, and so this will fix that! My plan is to put it back together and make it roadworthy and enjoy. I restore as little as possible, preferring signs of age and use (but not abuse). Expert 5K+ Posts: 9900 Location: Lower Mainland BC | Congrats!! A 1956 "kit car". I wish you well. I bought my 1956 Dodge Custom Royal 4 dr sedan 2 years ago on Sept. 15, 2016 and since that time I have learned a lot about it by reading and from folks here and a local NOS parts guy. I am willing to share lots of 56 Dodge info and will PM you here. Hey!! Wait a minute!!! Kent!!! What the hell? Dude. You're local to me for heaven's sake. I'll send you an email and re-establish the connection. Dave F. (in New Westminster)

Veteran Posts: 197 Location: Mid Michigan | Congratulations on your 56 CRL. I have a 56 CRL in the exact color combo except in a 2dr ht I plan on putting mine back together and driving it the way it is also. Phil

Expert 5K+ Posts: 9900 Location: Lower Mainland BC | Kent: When you get a chance please email me a photo of your data plate on the firewall. I am guessing that your Canadian paint code will involve 10 = Jet Black, 11 = Surf White and 21 = Turquoise Blue. Furthermore, I will guess that your Canadian interior code is "85", as shown below. If your car was American built, I think the paint code would have been 263, i.e. sapphire white, Jewell Black and Aquamarine. Not sure about the interior code. If it was a four door sedan Custom Royal it would be a 542. REFERENCES: Paint: http://www.forwardlook.net/forums/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=63553&... Expert Posts: 1819 Location: Vancouver, BC | The colour code for Surf White over Jet Black with Turquoise Blue saddle is 3022. All three colours were used in the U.S. The Ditzler codes for the three are : Surf White - 80697, Black - 9000, Turquoise - 41763

Member Posts: 9 | I've been making some progress getting trim back on.. Thankfully, it doesn't look as though much of anything is unaccounted for. (1.jpg) (2.jpg) Attachments ---------------- 1.jpg (282KB - 229 downloads) 2.jpg (475KB - 211 downloads)

Just great that such a rare and beautiful car got into good hands!

Member Posts: 9 | Thanks for your kind words! I'm really into survivor cars and once it's back together this one will fit the bill. I often take on orphan cars that no one else seems to have wanted - like this one. Not sure why with this one though, as while it has a few problems it's really quite nice.

Kent: To be clear, for the left (driver's) side, do you need everything circled in yellow or just the parking/turn signal housing circled in red? Expert 5K+ Posts: 9900 Location: Lower Mainland BC | saiers - 2018-10-11 3:31 PM Just in the red.. Okay. And I can confirm that my "spare" is for the right side, not the side that you need. Sorry. Maybe John at Big M has the housing (and wiring) that you need.
