Just a passenger out and about on Sat. some where below Harrisburg, Pa.[I think?]. Stopped in a tavern and these 2 fillets were on the wall. Maybe about a foot deep of car and that is all.
Anyone know the place? Not from the area but would like to stop in again sometime. I could ask my brother-in-law but I am trying to act like I was paying attention.

Thanks for any info,
Karl.

Sorry, but I don't think that way. I would rather see them displayed on a wall for everyone to see than melted down to become 2 or 3 Toyotas. The people that do things like this rarely use a nice car.
I hope to go there again and will ask for a little more info and if I find the person took really nice cars and chopped it up just because, I would think it was a terrible waste and a real shame but I would get over it.

This place apparently is very popular with the local car people and has large cruises once a week that I believe the bar tender says usually brings in 200 cars.
It's not too far from Carlisle and one of the car guys there said that the place is a popular stop for MOPAR people on MOPAR weekend.

I've been to pubs that had parts of old ships, locomotives, aircraft, animal heads, musical instruments, one place had the front end of a really rare farm tractor sticking out of the wall, ect.
I think these things are fascinating and glad to see them. IF they weren't saved in this way, would they still exist for anyone to see?

Could you tell me where this is?? We got to central PA every year for the Carlisle show - a restaurant that has a little MOPAR love would be a fantastic venue for our e-body club!

Feel free to PM me - thanks!

I think it's pretty cool myself myself. I don't think that they would use rerestored cars for this. There are too many others to use. I have a 61 imperial that is a so so parts car. It would be easy to make a 61 automotive taxidermist restaurant project out of it. Or I'm considering making a couch out it. I would rather do that then the simply scrapping it or sending it to demo derby. Although I know nothing about restaurants,I have always wanted to design a restaurant based on a 50s car culture theme. Ya know ,working 45 jukebox, vintage neon clock, signs, gas pumps, etc. Thats the kinda restuarant I would like to go to vs the standard restuarant decor.
