No. That is the manual seat (fore/aft) release lever knob.

1955 New Yorker Town & Country (6-passenger wagon) - 1,036 built

Wagon production started a little later than the rest, beginning Jan 5 1955.

Could be a spectacular car! I think it had wood in the cargo area originally, but none of the pictures show that.

I figured it was rare, but I didn't think it was that rare! I'm used to seeing the 55-56 Chryslers all the time on Craigslist. They're practically everywhere, but I didn't erealize the production numbers were that small for the wagons. I hope somone here ends up with it. $3900 isn't a lot of money for this, expecially if it's that uncommon. 

I also had no idea they had a wood floored cargo area. Very nice looking.
