Expert Posts: 1267 Location: San Antonio TX | This guy says is "one of a few parade cars ever made" implying that this is a factory built car. As far as I know, the only 'parade' car Chrysler ever built was the 52 Phaeton, and this car doesn't look anything like that. Did Chrysler make a parade car for 55? Or is this just a 2 door that someone cut the top off of? https://phoenix.craigslist.org/nph/cto/d/1955-chrysler/6764188353.html

One each in New York City, Detroit and Los Angeles By 1955, they had been updated to look like 56 model year Imperials: As discussed in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6MIlgnvblM8 Edited by 56D500boy 2018-12-06 1:36 AM

Expert 5K+ Posts: 9648 Location: So. Cal | It's currently used by mayor Eric Garcetti, who is planning to run against Trump in 2020 so you'll probably be hearing more about him in the coming years. I'm a little disappointed that a mayor of a major US city is going around waving a Mexican flag. Nothing very wrong with it, but I think it sends the wrong message. Is there any Democrat NOT running against Trump?

The car has been officially owned by Los Angeles City since it was built.

Edited by StillOutThere 2018-12-10 10:17 AM (LAflag.jpg) Attachments ---------------- LAflag.jpg (45KB - 118 downloads)

Expert 5K+ Posts: 9648 Location: So. Cal | Yeah, it's been owned by the city this whole time. Amazing they haven't sold it off yet. I bet if you asked them with enough money, they would justify it somehow....Thanks Wayne, I guess I should study my flags a little better.
