Questions for those who have replaced the old-style rear end with a later model 8-3/4” from a B-body on a ’55-’56 Dodge or Plymouth.
If you use the later model shock plate, it relocates the mount lower and more inboard. So, did you make a custom shock plate to approximate the original location, or did you just use the late-model shock plate with the revised dimensions? Also, did you use stock rear shocks, or find a longer version?
